Their hair is sheared in the complete process, not even their skin is harmed during the whole process. No, no animal is killed for pashmina wool. Essentially, both Cashmere and Pashmina are the same thing. They both are forms of wool that are of premium quality. Many Europeans call Pashmina Cashmere after the name of the valley in which it is produced, ie Kashmir.
